NEXT Weather: After average Friday, Saturday kicks off string of mild January days
MINNEAPOLIS – After a cool and dry Friday, we're in for a nice weekend thaw.
Temps will drop slightly to 23 degrees for the metro's high Friday, which is actually about average. Friday will also be our best shot at seeing some sunshine.
Then a January thaw begins on Saturday. The high will be 35 in the metro.
We'll warm up even more on Sunday, with a high of 37. It will be a couple degrees cooler Monday, when we'll deal with some rain that will mix with snow. It doesn't look like a huge system.
We will then stay in the low 30s through at least the middle of next week, when we'll have a couple chances of snowfall.
