NEXT Weather Alert: After frosty start, cool autumn weekend ahead
MINNEAPOLIS — It was a frosty start for a large portion of Minnesota, and temps will stay cool for the weekend.
Some areas woke up below freezing temperatures on Saturday morning. In the Twin Cities, thanks to some cloud cover, temps were at 45 degres.
It'll be a cloudy day for most in eastern Minnesota, though there will be some breaks for those in the western part of the state.
Highs will be in the 50s on Saturday, though if you're heading to the Gopher game against Michigan, put on that cooler weather gear, as it'll be in the 40s.
Frost risk picks back up on Monday night, with lows dipping into the upper 30s around the Twin Cities.
Chilly week ahead
Our highs will likely be locked in the upper 50s next week, which is slightly below average. Another push of cooler air could bring frost into the metro Monday night into Tuesday morning.
