Mpls. Police: Officer Shoots Armed Suspect In Downtown
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One person was hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting early Saturday morning in downtown Minneapolis.
It happened at about 3 a.m. near the Pizza Luce on the 100th block 4th Street North. Minneapolis police received reports of an individual with a gun.
When they tried to make contact, the suspect took off running. The officer then fired, and the suspect suffered a gunshot wound.
They were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, and police say the suspect's injury was non-life threatening.
A gun was recovered at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
