Motorcyclist Who Fled Police & Crashed Has Died

FRIDLEY, Minn. (AP) -- The motorcyclist that crashed into a car after fleeing from police in Fridley has died.

Police identity the teen as 18-year-old Zachary McGee of New Brighton. Authorities say an officer tried to stop McGee on Tuesday for reckless driving, but McGee took off.

Officers did not pursue the motorcyclist. Witnesses say McGee ran a red light and crashed into a car at an intersection. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. The driver of the car was not injured.
