More Than 40 Crashes Reported In Western Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials reported more than 40 crashes Wednesday morning as a storm system swirled over Minnesota, dumping snow on the western part of the state.
As of 11 a.m., the State Patrol reported 20 crashes and 19 cars going off road in the St. Cloud area. In west-central and northwestern Minnesota, there were 17 crashes and 22 cars off road.
Four of the morning's crashes were rollovers, and three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Sgt. Jesse Grabow of the State Patrol encouraged drivers to slow down for the conditions.
Looking at the forecast, the snow looks to clear out of western Minnesota by the afternoon. However, a winter storm warning remains in effect, as strong winds will blow snow and lessen visibility.
