Moorhead Police Believe Bodily Remains Found Are Marwan Asaad, 28

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Moorhead police say they believe the remains of a missing 28-year-old man from Kurdistan have been located.

Marwan Asaad was last seen on Nov. 12. Investigators say remans were found in the same area where Assad's vehicle was discovered. Police say he had been in the United States for only about a year.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's office is working to identify the remains, and determine the exact cause of death.

Police say the investigation is "very active," and anyone with information is asked to call the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660 speak to the on-duty Moorhead Police Supervisor.
