Moorhead Police Chase Cuts Across Golf Course
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A nice round of golf in Moorhead turned into a scene from a movie on Tuesday, and the fairway turned into a crime scene.
A man wanted on theft and drug charges led police on a chase through Village Green, a local golf course.
The driver plowed through the greens with police trailing behind, a helicopter overhead, and golfers gawking in disbelief.
Witness Cody Fuller captured the whole thing on camera.
"My eyes got about the size of golf balls," Fuller said. "There were people running. I could see in the distance people scattering and running all over the place."
Police eventually caught up with the driver, identified as 34-year-old Kendall Feist, at the West Acres Mall in Fargo. He now faces more charges for fleeing police and property damage.
Moorhead Police are conducting an internal investigation as to whether officers followed correct protocol in following the suspect onto the golf course.
