Montevideo Cop Back To Work After Crash With High Driver

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Montevideo Police officer is back to work after getting hit last week by a driver who admitted to being high on marijuana.

Officer Kelly Robinson was off duty and was returning home from buying a camper for his family when a vehicle did not yield and pulled out in front of him.

The Montevideo Police Facebook page says Robinson suffered some "bumps and bruises," and his beloved F-150 was totaled in the crash.

The driver told Robinson at the crash scene that he had smoked marijuana before getting behind the wheel.

Police warn drivers that drugged driving is just as dangerous as drunk driving.
