MNsure Board To Get Update As Deadline Looms

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- The board of directors of MNsure, the state's new health insurance marketplace, will be getting updates Wednesday as a Saturday deadline approaches for coverage that takes effect April 1st.

More than 113,000 Minnesotans have now signed up for health insurance coverage through MNsure, the state's new health insurance marketplace. MNsure interim CEO Scott Leitz says he's pleased with enrollment so far, but that more work lies ahead before the end of open enrollment at the end of the month.

Leitz says MNsure is also running smoother after its rocky start. Contact center hold times now average less than 60 seconds, down from 60 minutes or more in December. Website error rates are down to their lowest ever, and pending applications have dropped by more than 95 percent since December.
