MnPASS To Open On I-35E In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Some motorists in St. Paul will be able to cruise pass rush-hour traffic jams on Interstate 35E next week.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the MnPASS Express Lanes will open to customers starting Monday, Jan. 4.

Solo drivers with a MnPASS account and windshield tag will pay between 25 cents and $8 to ride in the lanes during peak-drive times.

Carpoolers, motorcyclists and buses can use the lanes for free during any time of day.
