MN Mom, Who Returned To Boston Marathon After Bombings, Dies
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A Minnesota mom who finished the Boston Marathon--a year after terrorist bombings kept her from crossing the finish line--died on Friday.
Elinor Scott was a quarter mile from finishing Boston's in 2013, when the terrorist bombings happened.
She re-qualified that spring, but was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Despite that, organizers let her finish that final quarter mile this year.
Elinor passed away Friday, five months after she officially finished Boston's.
