Missing Wright Co. Man's Family Raising Funds To Aid Search Efforts
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The family of a Wright County man reported missing in late August, is looking to raise funds to support volunteers' daily and weekly search efforts.
Police said Christopher Michael Rossing, 25, has not been seen or heard from since the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 22.
A page on the fundraising website GoFundMe brought in $125 in the first four hours.
"There are so many expenses that come along with search, rescue and recovery missions," Rossing's sister Deanna wrote on the GoFundMe page. "It is overwhelming. Unfortunately, we have very little resources as a family and are reaching out for help from anyone who can help."
Rossing's family is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his recovery.
Rossing was said to have left work in Maple Plain, Minn. around 5 p.m. Aug. 22 and was supposed to meet some friends in Norwood Young America, Minn. later that evening but never showed.
Officials said Rossing frequents Norwood Young America and the Watertown area as he has several friends there.
It is believed that Rossing was in the Howard Lake area sometime Aug. 22 after he left work.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Wright County Sheriff's Office at 763-682-1162.
