Missing: Nikki Anderson, 56, last seen leaving home in Randolph Township on Saturday

Search continues for missing Dakota County woman

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, Minn. — Authorities in Dakota County are asking for the public's help in finding a 56-year-old woman they say could be in danger.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office said Nicole "Nikki" Irene Anderson was last seen at 10 a.m. Saturday leaving her residence in Randolph Township on foot.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Anderson left her phone, wallet, glasses and medication behind and has not been heard from since.

The sheriff's office said they searched the property and surrounding areas with drones and K-9s, but have come up empty.

"They're just hoping that people will call in, even if it's a weird thing, call in. They need a clue from the general public and they need somebody, if you suspect somebody, just call the hotline," said Durene Mies, Anderson's mother. "It's the only way we're going to be able to find her."

The sheriff's office said they're fairly confident Anderson is not near her property.

"She can't survive very long if we don't find her," said Mies.

According to Mies, Anderson had been undergoing chemo, fighting a two-year battle with breast cancer.

"She would never go without her dog or without her phone," said MIes.

Family is now pleading for someone to come forward with information.

On Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant on Anderson's boyfriend's residence in Randolph, which Anderson's family says they own. The 42-year-old boyfriend was a person of interest and had an active, felony body-only arrest warrant out for a probation violation. He wasn't at the property when deputies executed the search warrant, but he turned himself in at the residence later.

As of Thursday morning, he is in jail and being held on criminal charges not related to Anderson's disappearance, the sheriff's office says.

Authorities say they did not find Anderson at her boyfriend's property.

"Nikki had some friends who stayed there. It's really not inhabited, I mean, it's kind of uninhabitable," Anderson's brother Troy Haro.

Haro said he believes a man who posed as a woodcutter at Anderson's property, is now the number one person of interest. Haro said that man stalked his sister.

"He wasn't doing any work, he was just kind of hanging out there watching her and he was the last person to see her," said Haro.
