Minnesota's Minimum Wage Gets $1 Bump

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minnesota's minimum wage workers are getting a raise.

Starting Saturday, the minimum wage is going from $8 to $9 an hour, making it one of the highest in the nation.

The state law allows small companies, those with less than $500,000 in revenue, to still pay workers the federal minimum of $7.25 per hour.

Minnesota's minimum wage will go up again next August to $9.50 an hour.
