Back to summer heat in Twin Cities this week

MINNEAPOLIS — Summer heat returns to Minnesota this week, with humidity and high temperatures in store.

A few isolated showers could pop up Monday night through early Tuesday south of the Twin Cities. Nothing severe is expected and most should stay dry.

Tuesday will be breezy and a bit warmer with highs in the mid-80s.

We continue to warm as the week progresses. Fortunately, it doesn't get really humid. Temps will bump into the mid-80s on Wednesday.

Thursday will likely be our warmest day with a high near 88, with some communities possibly hitting 90.

We cool on Friday but will stay several degrees above average in the 80s through the weekend.

Besides a few possible sprinkles early Sunday, the forecast is looking quite dry.
