NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report for Minnesota on June 2, 2024

MINNEAPOLIS — After a quiet start, storms are pushing into the Twin Cities metro late Sunday afternoon.

While we'll be dry most of the day, storm chances will gradually return in the afternoon and evening.

Some of those storms could be severe in western Minnesota, with wind and hail being the main threats. The tornado threat is very low. Parts of western Minnesota are under a severe thunderstorm watch until midnight.

Storms will form in northwest Minnesota around 7 p.m. and move east and southeast into the night. They will be diminishing in intensity as they move.

A couple of storms could linger into early Monday morning, but then we'll dry out and clear up. Another system will likely bring more storms late Tuesday into Wednesday.

Temperatures will stay in the low 80s through Tuesday before cooling back into the low 70s with lots of sunshine by the end of the week.
