Rain returns to Twin Cities overnight Monday
MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota will see plenty of rainfall over the next three days.
Storms will enter the Twin Cities on Sunday evening and persist through Monday morning, with 0.5-0.75 inches of rain expected. There is a moderate threat of hail in southwestern Minnesota.
There will be a break in the rain midday Monday, which will see highs in the mid-70s. Storms are expected Monday evening in southern Minnesota, with a marginal threat of severe weather along the I-90 corridor.
There will possibly be a NEXT Weather Alert on Tuesday evening for the potential of severe storms. There will be an enhanced threat in southeastern Minnesota; a slight threat in the metro; and a marginal chance in the northwestern part of the state. This system could end up bringing 1-2 inches of rain.
Wednesday's highs will drop into the mid-60s with some residual morning showers. There will be a break in the rain on Thursday, but more is expected on Friday.
