Chilly Monday morning to give way to warmer daytime highs
MINNEAPOLIS — After Sunday's taste of fall, highs will start to climb again as the workweek rolls on.
Lows are set to drop into the 30s outside of the Twin Cities early Monday, with a frost advisory in effect for northeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin until 9 a.m.
Highs will rise to around 70 degrees in the metro on Monday, with the combo of high pressure and sunshine helping to gradually warm temps into the 80s again on Thursday and Friday.
We're up to 16 consecutive days without measurable precipitation at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. It will be 23 days by Saturday with more beyond that.
Long range, another front looks to cool us down next weekend, but the warm/dry pattern persists into mid-October.
