Temps warm on Thursday as rain moves into western Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS — After a quintessential spring day in the Twin Cities on Wednesday, Thursday will be warmer and breezy.
Highs will push into the upper 70s. Clouds will move in later in the day as a storm system moves in from the west. There is a marginal risk for storms in southewestern Minnesota for Thursday.
Likely, the rain will hold off until early Friday morning in the metro area. Showers will be on and off into the evening.
Friday will bring back the stormy spring weather with highs back down in the lower 70s. This pattern holds for the weekend and early next week.
Temperatures will also have a boost for the weekend and days after with daytime highs reaching the lower 80s. There could be a round of rain on Sunday, with a greater risk for storms in the evening.
It's trending drier and less active by midweek next week.
