After some overnight showers, the weekend looks great in Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS — Following a warmer day Friday, some showers are expected overnight. But the weekend overall looks great.
Clouds will form late Friday evening as a quick-moving disturbance comes in from the northwest after midnight. Showers will linger through early Saturday morning.
All in all, less than a quarter of an inch of rain is expected.
Once the clutter departs Saturday morning to midday, expect lots of sunshine and highs in the mid-70s. Sunday will be a bit warmer, with a few scattered showers for western Wisconsin in the afternoon.
Next week starts the same way with more sunshine on Monday and highs near average.
Our next rain chance arrives Tuesday before we get back to some heat.
By Wednesday, highs return to the 80s, and we may be in the upper 80s by Thursday.
