Pleasant Wednesday and Thursday in Minnesota before rains return

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report for Minnesota on June 26, 2024

MINNEAPOLIS — High pressure will keep the Twin Cities dry on Wednesday, with a mix of sun and clouds in the afternoon.

A northwest breeze keeps temperatures and humidity in check with highs in the upper 70s.

Our next disturbance brings some showers and storms to western and northern Minnesota late Thursday, but it won't move into the metro until Friday morning.

The steadiest rain looks to be Friday morning and afternoon before becoming more spotty into the evening. Expect a quarter- to half-inch of rain across northern Minnesota, which may delay the receding of flood waters. The threat of severe weather remains low.

High pressure will return to dry things out just in time for the Pride weekend. Temps stay comfy in the 70s with some breezes being the only hiccup on Saturday.

Another round of rain and storms return Monday into Tuesday.
