Twin Cities will see dry time Tuesday before more rain arrives in evening

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report for Minnesota on July 2, 2024

MINNEAPOLIS — Tuesday will offer some dry time for the Twin Cities before more rain arrives in the evening.

Overnight storms have mostly cleared the metro and the next round won't begin until around dinnertime. This system will mainly affect southeastern Minnesota, but the Twin Cities will get clipped, too.

Expect a high right around 80.

One more shot of showers will pass into the evening before things clear out overnight.

Wednesday looks to be very pleasant with sunshine and highs in the mid-80s.

The Fourth of July will start out dry, but showers and isolated storms will pop up around lunchtime and will threaten any outdoor activities into Friday.

The heaviest rain on Friday will be in the morning with scattered showers possible into the afternoon.

Another wave of light rain will drop south on Saturday but the rain threat should clear earlier on Sunday.
