Warmer, stormy Tuesday ahead in southern Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS — There will be a break in the rain action for the rest of Monday, but more drought relief is on the way in southern Minnesota Tuesday afternoon and into the night.

Temperatures will warm into the 70s on Tuesday. Along with rain, there will be some possible severe weather. 

The main threat will be hail and wind, but isolated tornadoes are possible. It's a small risk area and there is a small risk timeframe. Storms weaken as they head east.  

Tuesday will be a total change, with sunshine and temperatures in the 70s. Afternoon storms are possible, though, especially in southern Minnesota.

There will be a lull in the action on Wednesday, which will be a lovely one with more sunshine and highs close to 70.

Things cool down and more rain is possible on Thursday through the weekend.
