Minnesota United Head Coach, Owner Talk Soccer Ahead Of Season Opener

BLAINE, Minn. (WCCO) -- It's been an exciting year for soccer in Minnesota, and that enthusiasm is coming to a head Saturday for the Minnesota United's season opening game at home.

The United are taking on the San Antonio Scorpions

Earlier this year, Minnesota was awarded an MLS franchise, beating out several other major metro areas across the country. League executives cited the local fans' passion and excitement toward the sport as a big reason why they chose Minnesota.
