Minnesota National Guard Unit Returns Home After 9-Month Deployment
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It was a big welcome home Saturday for a Minnesota National Guard unit who spent nine months deployed to Egypt.
Forty-two men and women with the 204th Area Support Medical Company arrived home to family and friends at Century College in White Bear Lake. They provided medical support in Egypt for nearly 2,000 service members from 12 nations.
During their nine months in Egypt, the medical unit treated more than 4,000 patients.
