Minnesota Man Dead After Collision In Wisconsin

SPARTA, Wis. (AP) — Authorities in southwestern Wisconsin say a Minnesota driver is dead after his car crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle. A 10-year-old is in critical condition.

The Monroe County sheriff's department identified the driver Sunday as 77-year-old Roger L. Beyer from Buffalo, Minnesota.

He was driving Saturday about 3:30 p.m. when his Honda Accord went over the center line in the Town of Byron. One driver swerved to avoid him and ended up in a ditch. Beyer then collided with another vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The 10-year-old in his car was taken to a hospital.
