Minnesota Gains 2,600 Jobs In March
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For the first time in state history, Minnesota's labor force surpassed three million, thanks to a good month of March.
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says Minnesota added 2,600 jobs in March -- an increase in 1.5 percent since the same time last year.
More than 41,000 jobs have been added over the past year.
Minnesota's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remains unchanged at 4.8 percent. That's well below the national rate of 6.7 percent.
Professional and business services led all sectors last month with 3,500 new jobs. Construction jobs were in second place, with an increase of 2,700.
