MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The final of Minnesota's top high school basketball stars made his college announcement official on Tuesday, and he's not coming back to Minnesota.

Former Robbinsdale Cooper star and Golden Valley native Rashad Vaughn moved to Las Vegas, Nev., over the summer to play his final prep season at Findlay Prep and face top national competition. Vaughn, one of the top shooting guards in the country, was the last of Minnesota's "Big 3" to commit to a college. None of them is staying home as Apple Valley point guard Tyus Jones will play at Duke next year and DeLaSalle power forward Reid Travis will go to Stanford.

The chances any of the three of them would stay home became minimal after Tubby Smith was let go and Richard Pitino was brought in. It put the University of Minnesota behind in establishing relationships with all three stars.
