Minneapolis Company Aims To Craft Super Bowl Rings

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For the bulk of the last half-century of Super Bowls, a Minneapolis company has crafted what the winning players will wear for years.

Now, Jostens Memorabilia Manufacturer is hoping to make the Super Bowl ring for the Denver Broncos, who won the big game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, KIMT reports.

It takes months of precision to turn metal and jewels into something special for the players.

"[On] the Super Bowl I ring, the top of the ring really just had one diamond from one Super Bowl," Chris Poitras of Jostens said. "You look at the ring last year -- the Patriots ring had the Patriots logo on the top over four Vince Lombardi trophies."

Once the design is finalized, workers make a mold for each of the 53 players on the team with their name and jersey number on the side.

The team has the option to make more rings for their staff.
