Snow, Traffic Cause Delays For Metro Transit
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Metro Transit buses are delayed Friday morning after a blanket of snow covered the metro Thursday night.
Metro Transit tweeted that as of 11:25 a.m., 19 percent of its buses were delayed with an average delay time of 5 minutes. The city's transportation company cites snow and traffic as the reason for the setback.
Conditions are beginning to improve after a peak 59 percent of buses were delayed around 8:45 a.m.
Trains were also experiencing major delays due to mechanical issues.

Service update 8:45 AM: 59% of our buses are delayed. Avg delay is 13 minutes. Green Line is on time. Blue Line has minor delays due to earlier mechanical difficulties on some trains and on tracks in downtown Minneapolis.
