Meet One Of The Vikings' Most Rabid Fans!
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- At Lambeau Field, you're going to see a lot of die-hard Packer fans.
But here in Minnesota, there are those who belong to the Viking World Order. We met up with one of the group's most loyal members -- Sir Diggz.
Diggz Garza got into his Vikings gear for our morning show Thursday.
"Well, it's a helmet with some Helga horns glued on," Garza said. "Some game pants, game socks and my pink shoes for breast cancer awareness this month."
Diggz' passion for the purple is all around. From floor to ceiling, his St. Paul home is all Vikings colors and memorabilia: photos, flags, banners and shoes.
His devotion comes from some place deep.
"Well they kind of got me through a tough part of my childhood when I was searching for a hero when my dad left," he said. "And Sunday came around, I got to see my Ma going crazy, and I'm like 'What's she going crazy about? Oh, these guys playing football and kicking some butt back then.'"
Diggz is not alone in his loyalty. He's a member of the Vikings World Order. They're a group of more than 200 fans who think of themselves more like family.
They're always on camera on game day, and always proud to show their true commitment.
Last season, Diggz showed us he has the ink to prove he's a Vikings fan for life.
"Cuz there's no jumping off the bandwagon once you've got your tattoo," he said.
In fact, Diggz has 11 Vikings-related tattoos!
