Maya Moore Named Western Conference Player Of The Month
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- As the Minnesota Lynx keep winning, Maya Moore keeps piling up the WNBA awards.
The Lynx forward was named the WNBA's Western Conference Player of the Month for July. It's her first player of the month award this season and the sixth of her career. It's also the ninth time a Lynx player has won the award.
In nine games in July, Moore averaged 25.8 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game and 4.1 rebounds per game. She also shot 41.9 percent from three-point range and made 26 shots from the perimeter in July.
Moore has scored at least 20 points in 11 straight games, the second-longest streak in WNBA history. The Lynx head to Los Angeles Tuesday to face the Sparks.
