U Of M Masonic Children's Hospital Given $2.5 Million Gift

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital announced it received 2.5 million dollars from the Otter Bremer Trust on Monday.

The center provides comprehensive care for children and adolescents who experience abuse and neglect.

The hospital said the donation will help them identify more victims.

They also said the partnership will create a healthier future for generations to come.

"This gift will allow our program to expand our care, clinical care, advocacy, research and education," said Dr. Nancy Harper.

Currently, the center cares for more than 350 children and their families every year.
