March Is Foodshare Month
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- March is Minnesota FoodShare Month, which helps hundreds of food shelves across Minnesota.
The motivation for the month is so that food shelves can stock up for later months when donations aren't as plentiful.
Esme Murphy talked with Tracy Maki, executive director of Valley Outreach in Stillwater, a relatively affluent community that nevertheless still has hundreds of people each month who need the food shelf and other services provided by Maki's organization.
