Maplewood Police Seek Woman In TCF Bank Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Maplewood Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect in a bank robbery that took place on Saturday.

Around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to the TCF Bank located in the Cub Foods at 100 West County Road B. Police said a female suspect gave a teller a note demanding money and implied she had a gun.

The teller gave the robber an unknown amount of money. The suspect then fled the store.

The suspect is described as a white female, 20 to 25 years old, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark colored leggings. Police say she has dark hair, possibly with highlights.

Due to similarities in suspect descriptions, police said this robbery may be connected to a robbery committed in Minneapolis last month.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call 651-767-0640. Anonymous tips can be submitted on the Maplewood Police Department's website.
