Man Suffers Spinal Cord Injury After Dive Into Lake Minnetonka
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The community is rallying behind a Minnetonka man who suffered a spinal cord injury while swimming in Lake Minnetonka Saturday.
According to a post by his father-in-law, Kirk Ingram was swimming on Lake Minnetonka when he "playfully" dove into the water.
Ingram struck the bottom and injured his neck, according to the post.
A GoFundMe account and Caring Bridge page has been created for Ingram to help raise funds for his surgery and therapy.
The family has already raised $49,617 of their $100,000 goal.
