Man Arrested In Mpls. Bar Shooting Posts $2,500 Bond
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The man arrested in connection to a shooting that injured two people in a Minneapolis gay bar has been released from jail after posting bond – one significantly lower than the one originally needed.
Devin Strouss, 23, was released from jail Wednesday on $2,500 bond, records show. The original bail was set at $150,000.
WCCO-TV reached out to his attorney to learn why the bond was so low. As of writing, there's been no response.
Last week, Minneapolis police said they took Strouss into custody for a shooting that occurred on Oct. 15. That night, two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries after bullets shot through the double steel door of the 19 Bar, just off Nicollet Avenue on 15th Street.
Witnesses said they saw that Strouss was refused service that night, because he was drunk. The bullets flew in after he'd been forced outside by the bar's bouncers.
