Man Arrested In Girlfriend's Shooting Death

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A Lake City man has been arrested in Wisconsin in connection with the shooting death of his girlfriend.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office says Tanner Rix called 911 just before noon on Tuesday. He said a woman in his car had been shot.

Police in Baldwin, Wis., say officers found 28-year-old Angel Linderman dead inside a car. It was parked in the middle of the street, with Rix standing outside of it.

Officers believe Linderman died hours before Rix called 911.

Now police want to talk to anyone who saw the couple in the day before the shooting. They were traveling in this car, a black 1999 Mercury Cougar with a Minnesota license plate reading SHJ458.

If you have any information, call the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office at 715-386-4701.
