Man, 69, Shot Outside Of His Little Canada Home
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Officials in Ramsey County say a man is being hospitalized after being shot outside his Little Canada home late Thursday evening.
According to the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at around 11:15 p.m. at a home on the 3000 block of Rice Street.
There, deputies responded to a shots-fired report and when they arrived, they found a 69-year-old male victim inside his residence with a gunshot wound. The victim, who was alert and conscious, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The victim told police he went outside to his driveway where he saw an unknown suspect standing next to his vehicle. Authorities say the victim "verbally addressed" the suspect, who then shot at the victim six to eight times.
Police say the lone suspect fled the area on foot going northbound on Rice Street.

Deputies and K-9 units responded to the scene but the suspect was not located.
