Man, 30, Arrested After Shooting At Fish Lake Township Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Chisago County SWAT Team helped arrest a 30-year-old man after he shot multiple rounds off inside a home in Fish Lake Township.

Nicholas Leefeddick Villella, 30, was arrested on charges of terroristic threats and second degree assault.

According to the Chisago County Sheriff's Office, at 10:23 p.m. officers received a call that a drunk man, later identified as Villella, had shot five rounds off at a residence.

The caller reported that there were multiple people inside the house, and they did not feel like they could leave the house safely.

Officers said they heard three rounds go off during the call.

Upon arrival, police heard more rounds being fired, so the Chisago County SWAT Team was called as well.

Police first made sure all of the people inside the house got out safely. After they were evacuated, the SWAT Team made contact with Villella near the rear of the house as he was exiting. He was not armed, and after a short struggle he was taken into custody.

No one was hurt.

Villella is currently at the Chisago County Jail where he awaits formal charges.

The incident is still under investigation.
