Sheriff: Male Drowns In Lake Miltona In Alexandria
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person drowned on Lake Miltona in Alexandria Saturday afternoon, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Just after 4:30 p.m. deputies received a call regarding a male who went overboard and had not resurfaced.
Using the location the victim was last seen, Douglas County sent a dive team into the water. North Air Care responded as well and was able to locate the male.
The victim was found in six-and-a-half feet of water. He was pulled from the water and resuscitation efforts began immediately.
Officials said the victim had been in the water for at least an hour. He did not surive.
The victim's identity has not yet been released.
