Lunds & Byerlys Hosts Be A Santa To A Senior Program

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – You can help others in need this holiday season by going to the grocery store or the next time you grab a cup of coffee -- you can be a Santa to a senior.

This week, Christmas trees are going up at Lunds & Byerly's and some Starbucks around the Twin Cities. All you have to do is pull a name off the tree, buy the gifts listed on the gift tag and return them in a gift bag.

St. Louis Park current and retired firefighters will help deliver the gifts to the Seniors.

"The holidays is really about being together and having somebody, and that gift of companionship," Home Instead Senior Care CEO John Stuck said. "That small token are sure appreciated by those who don't get many visits during the year."

For more information and to find the nearest tree that's part of this "Be A Santa To A Senior" program, visit Be A Santa To A Senior online.
