Lightning Hits Tree, Sparks Fire In Bloomington Garage
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Lightning from passing storms Wednesday morning caused a small fire in the garage of a Twin Cities home.
The Bloomington Fire Department said that lightning struck a tree on the 8300 block of West 104th Street, sparking a fire in a nearby home's irrigation control box and electrical meter.
Crews responded to knock down the flames, which were contained to a small area of a home's attached garage.
No one was hurt in the fire.
