Head Of Minneapolis NAACP Leaving St. Thomas Law School

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A prominent figure of the Black Lives Matter movement and head of the NAACP in Minneapolis is leaving her job at the University of St. Thomas Law School.
Nekima Levy-Pounds announced via her Facebook page that she's leaving the school to pursue advocacy for racial and economic justice.
Pounds taught at the school for 13 years and is the founding director of its Community Justice Project.
Pounds played a leading role in the protests following the death of Jamar Clark, who was shot and killed by Minneapolis police in November.
Her last day at the school is July 31.
