Larry Jacobs Previews Aug. 12 Primary Elections

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) –  Voters in Minnesota will be going to the polls in just two days to cast their primary ballots in the U.S. Senate race, the Governor's race on the Republican side and a surprising State Auditor's race on the DLF side.

Political analyst and Humphrey School of Public Affairs professor, Larry Jacobs joins WCCO to talk about what voters should expect on Tuesday.

Jacobs said the turnout is expected to be very low.

In 2010 during the previous midterm election, only 16 percent voted early. He expects roughly nine percent this year.

Those candidates that can get their supporters out will have a better chance of winning.
