Lakeville Man Charged After 2 Stabbed At Party
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 21-year-old Lakeville man is accused of attempted murder and assault in a stabbing at a party early Saturday morning, according to charges filed Tuesday in Dakota County Court.
Alexander Roy Kiefat was charged with two counts each of attempted intentional second-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault in connection with the incident.
According to the charges, Lakeville Police were called at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday to a disturbance. When officers arrived to the scene, a witness told them that several men were trying to fight. Officers saw four to five men running from the area. Officers spotted two men who were covered in blood and getting into a car.
Authorities determined that the two men had been stabbed multiple times. One of the victims told an officer that he had been stabbed by Kiefat. One victim had stab wounds to his upper right shoulder, middle abdomen and right rib area. Another victim had stab wounds to his middle center back and upper right back, just below his shoulder blade.
The victims told officers that they were at a party and Kiefat came up to one of the victims and started stabbing him. The other victim tried to step in and help, and was also stabbed at least twice.
Kiefat was identified as one of the men running from the scene and was later arrested. Police also found a knife in a driveway nearby. He's currently in the Dakota County Jail on $500,000 bail or $200,000 with conditions.
Kiefat's next court appearance is set for Aug. 25.
