Kylie's Kids: Hamza's Battles Tumor With Dreams Of Basketball
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- So many kids dream of being a professional athlete when they grow up. This week's Kylies Kid has that dream and some pretty sweet moves to back it up.
Hamza is 10 years old and won't let anything -- whether it's cancer or a heart transplant -- block his shot at the big leagues.
Hamza has a rare tumor on his kidneys, called a rhabdoid tumor, for the second time.
"It's really hard if you have a really big family," Hamza said. "They'll be worried about you."
Hamza also had a heart transplant a few years ago.
"That was the scary part," said Hamza. "I couldn't move a lot."
When things get scary, he looks to one of his idols, Lebron James.
"He's a good athlete and people look up to him," Hamza said. "Because he's good. Especially to kids."
As part of Make-A-Wish, Hamza even got to meet "King James."
"It was really fun cause we got to walk around the locker room," Hamza said.
And just like the other No. 23, nothing will stop Hamza from reaching his dreams.
