NBA Player Lied To Kevin Garnett To Avoid Trash Talk
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Kevin Garnett will go down as one of the best players in the history of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He announced his retirement last week and for many other players, their time on the court will get much quieter. Garnett was notorious for trash talking everyone on the court. While is skill spoke for itself, he wasn't afraid to get in an opponent's face and intimidate them.
It was so bad for one player that he lied to Garnett about not being able to speak English to avoid the trash talk. Steven Adams is a center for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He's originally from Australia.

Following Garnett's retirement, he told reporters about on occasion where Garnett was jawing at him. His response was "No English." It apparently worked as Garnett stopped attempting to trash talk him.
Brilliant.
