"Somebody knows": Josh Guimond's father hopes renewed attention brings answers to son's disappearanc

STEARNS COUNTY, Minn. -- Though two decades have passed, Josh Guimond is still in the hearts of many at St. John's University.

The 20-year-old student was last seen leaving a party at a friend's place on campus around 11:45 p.m. on Nov. 9, 2002 - but he never made his three-minute walk home.

"There was searching going on constantly for well close to five years and then after that it seemed like all of this basically got dropped," said Mike Mathiasen.

After nearly 20 years of unanswered questions, the Stearns County Sheriff's Office released an update Friday - a collage of 28 photos they say were found on Josh's computer after his disappearance.

Investigators say they haven't been able to identify these people and they may be able to provide information about the case.

Anyone with information related to Josh's disappearance or the identities of those pictured is asked to contact Investigator Struffert with the Stearns County Sheriff's Office at 320-259-3700 or submit a tip online.

More information is expected to be released this coming week.

In recent months, Josh's case has gained more attention as it was the focus of a podcast and will be featured on an upcoming episode of a Netflix series.
