Hundreds Of Mpls. Families Receive Free Thanksgiving Turkeys

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Hundreds of families in Minneapolis will be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with a hot, free meal.

The feast is free thanks to members of the Minneapolis police and fire departments. They were at the Cub Foods in North Minneapolis Tuesday helping hand out free turkey dinners to more than 400 people.

The meal included potatoes, stuffing and all the fixings.

They were paid for in part by Sharrif Floyd of the Minnesota Vikings and some other community partners.

It was the second year that Minneapolis police and fire helped host a free turkey giveaway.
